Taylor Park Marina operates under a special use permit in the Gunnison National Forest and sits at an elevation of 9,300 feet on the southern edge of Taylor Park Reservoir. The lake is bordered by the Continental Divide. The Upper Taylor River, Willow Creek, Texas Creek and Illinois Creek feed into this 2,000 surface acre lake which is home to some of the best Lake Trout, Rainbow Trout, Brown Trout, and Northern Pike fishing in the state.
If Fly Fishing is your game, the Taylor River has much to offer! It provides excellent fishing opportunities for rainbow, brown and cutthroat trout. The Taylor Dam Tailwater (aka Hog Trough) is home to some very smart trophy size trout and the state record rainbow trout. Special fishing regulations apply.
